Has scientific knowledge reached saturation?

It had been a remarkable journey of time travel for human beings to see the transformation from a hunter to the modern man. Right from the discovery of fire to the latest ones are incredible. It is like the earth has hidden all the secrets deep within her, and scattered the hints at different places. She was waiting to be discovered one by one. For example, the concept of gravity was within the world for ages, but it waited until Sir Isaac Newton found from a fallen apple. It sounds so funnier to know that radio communications were discovered through the mild murmurs of the wind. The quest to learn the universe had been an unrelenting passion throughout many centuries. During those days, the concept of research and applying scientific knowledge had been vague. Despite of those limited resources, the amount of breakthrough findings and inventions were endless. The 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century contributed to the invention of electricity, motor vehicles, airplanes, computers and so on. Towards the latter part of the 20th century, the most notable findings related in the field of science and technology is unraveling the secret codes of DNA.

Currently, one can notice a considerable lag in inventing new things with respect to science and nature. Researchers are glued up in just adding another extra piece to the already existing material and later labeling the same with a new name. It is sad though, to admit the fact that the number of students willing to take up science related course is getting narrowed. In those days, science and scientific knowledge were deemed as the crème la crème. The reason for this is, the revolution given by the computer industry to mankind. It has eliminated the communication gap across the nooks and corners of the world. The lucrative factor is yet another reason for many youths to pursue a degree in computers rather than in the pure science field. With the advent of internet and the ability of getting information at fingertips, the amount of stress and time needed for any acquiring any scientific knowledge is largely reduced. Research must be carried out in different angles that can bring about solution to mankind. The underlying fun to explore anything around you is triggered with a deep sense of love and inquisitiveness towards nature. Such a love and understanding is getting slowly destroyed by our rat race concepts. As stated earlier, nature has so many untold mysteries and puzzles that once unfolded can benefit the human race for a better living.
